MODULES
MODULES
The main vehicle for the transmission of knowledge of the CarbonOFF 4.0 project is represented by this online learning environment which contains all the main tools that have been conceived since the project planning phase, being learning units, best practices as examples, bibliography, literature and a self-assessment quiz to check the level of understanding of each Module.
The training curriculum is then structured into 3 training sessions/modules:
o Module 1: Global awareness
o Module 2: Soft skills & behaviours
o Module 3: CarbonOFF Toolkit
The module delivery methods are asynchronous. Approximately 10 hours of self-study and homework are expected
The training package includes: 1 animated video presentation for each module, handbook (covering material), library with additional material, Self-assessment test at the end of each module.
All the participants who complete all the forms will obtain a certificate of attendance.
This Module provides a very first introduction on the concepts of climate change, clean energy and carbon management to support the spreading of information on these very sensitive topics as well as the acquisition of positive behaviors in the future. The last chapter provides a practical guidance on how to set-up and run a media campaign on raising Carbon Footprint Awareness.
Based on a series of interdisciplinary insights, including the European Green Deal, the MAIRE Foundation's humanist engineer reference framework, the KTSoftSkills methodology, and emerging best practices from business leaders on sustainability, this module focuses on the “how” of climate competence. It is structured around practical scenarios, reflection tools, peer collaboration, and sector-specific learning pathways, enabling participants to understand and embody the social dimensions of the green transition.
This Module introduces and guides the use of the CARBONOFF 4.0 toolkit—a digital, Excel-based instrument designed to help small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) calculate, understand, and reduce their carbon footprint in an accessible and user-friendly way. It acts then as a technical manual for VET learners, trainers, company professionals, and sustainability advisors who wish to adopt low-carbon practices in their professional environment. It provides step-by-step instructions for data input, guidance on interpreting the results generated by the tool, and explanations of the methodological assumptions used in the calculations.
